Installation Guide

In order to have Magento 2 installed in specific servers, there are three options to take advantage of.

• Easy installation (own server).
• Get the metapackage.
• Clone the Magento repository

When using UNIX systems is required to have root privileges to install and configure software like web server, PHP and so on. You should not install Magento software in the web server docroot as the root user because the wen server might not be able to interact with those files.

Need to have root privileges to create Magento file system owner and add that owner to the web server's group. That owner is used to run any commands from the command line and to set up the Magento cron job.

Easy installation

For those who downloaded .zip or .tar fille. It is required to have the server that meets the system requirements and to have created the owner for the Magento file system.
